(White Post, VA) – The Laboratory Products Association (LPA) will hold its Spring Meeting from May 5–7 at the Pentagon City Ritz-Carlton. Attendees arriving early on Monday evening can enjoy a welcome reception with light food and drinks.
On Tuesday, after a networking breakfast, the session will open with a keynote presentation by Mike Abrashoff, former commander of the USS Benfold and author of four books, who will provide actionable steps for a dramatic difference in It’s YOUR Ship – Achieving Breakthrough Performance. The day will continue with engaging sessions featuring high-level officials from key governmental agencies, as well as a Scientific Advisory Panel with lab leaders and decision-makers, moderated by Scott Hanton. This panel will deliver a thought-provoking session for all members.
After a networking break, LPA government affairs liaisons Rob Smith, Senior Vice President, and Tony Hobbs, Associate Vice President—both of Platinum Advisors—will provide a legislative and regulatory update with key insights on current and upcoming policies affecting the industry.
Following the evening reception and dinner, attendees can enjoy an exclusive opportunity to engage and network with fellow members during an optional trolley tour of some of the most iconic monuments in D.C.
Wednesday morning begins with a networking breakfast, followed by closing keynote speaker Rich Karlgaard—entrepreneur-turned-Forbes publisher, renowned futurist, and business strategist—who will present Navigating the Future: The Intersection of Technology, Economic Trends, and Politics. Rich will explore how rapid technological advancements, shifting economic trends, and evolving political landscapes impact our industry—and how members can stay ahead of the curve.
Following the LPA Spring Meeting on Wednesday will be Capitol Hill Day, beginning at noon and lasting no later than 5:00 p.m. LPA members will be able to remain in one location as key Congressional leaders and staffers come to them, providing an unparalleled opportunity to advocate for their needs. With many valuable takeaways over the course of two days, members are encouraged to bring additional colleagues at discounted rates.
