About the Laboratory Products Association
The Laboratory Products Association (LPA) is a proud advocate for the laboratory products industry in the United States, with a rich history dating back to 1918.
Founded as the Association of Scientific Apparatus Makers of the United States, reflecting the birth of the American laboratory products industry during World War I.
Over the years, the LPA has transformed to meet the changing needs of the industry, becoming a vital force in its growth and success.
LPA member companies are a diverse group of manufacturers, distributors, and suppliers who provide essential lab products and services. Our members offer a wide range of glass and plasticware, chemicals, equipment, and supplies used in scientific research, applied science, and life sciences worldwide. Together with the Optical Imaging Association (OPIA), an affiliate focused on microscopy, the LPA empowers its members to achieve excellence.
A Centennial Year to Remember: LPA marked its 100th anniversary with a special celebration in 2018, honoring the industry's transformation and the contributions of its members. Check out our Centennial Video and click here to view pictures from the Centennial Celebration!
The LPA continues to be a driving force in the laboratory products industry, fostering innovation and supporting its members in their pursuit of scientific advancement.
