Find the LPA at Pittcon 2019!
The 2019 LPA Speaker Series Breakfast and presentation will be held on Wednesday, March 20, 2019 from 7:00-8:30 AM.
The LPA is pleased to welcome back Josh Waldman and Steve Willoughby from the Cleveland Research Company, who will be presenting at the Pittcon Speaker Series Breakfast on Tuesday morning.
Josh and Steve will discuss the following:
1. Overview of 2018 performance - An overview of how the markets performed in the prior year (2018) with a focus on major end markets and geographies. They will review the major themes that Cleveland Research believes influenced demand through the year.
2. 2019 Outlook - 2019 outlook by end market and geography highlighting the markets they believe members could expect to accelerate or decelerate vs. the prior year. Josh and Steve will touch on the catalysts that they believe could create upside or downside to growth in the end markets vs. the prior year.
3. Global Macroeconomic Concerns - Cleveland Research will provide the audience with a real-time view of the impact from recent macro shifts including Tariffs, Currency, and other trade related concerns. They will describe to members what to expect to see in 2019 and how these trends may influence the Life Science industry and members’ business through the year.
The breakfast will close with a Q&A session.
About Josh Waldman
Josh is currently a Research Associate at the research firm, Cleveland Research Company (CRC) where he and his team are responsible for coverage of the Life Science, Managed Care and Ophthalmology industries. Prior to CRC, Josh held a business development position at Forest Labs (now Allergan) in addition to working with several early stage biotech start-ups where he held both business development and benchtop research positions.
Josh holds a PhD in Biomedical Sciences with a focus on transplantation immunology, and an MBA from the University of Toledo. He completed his undergraduate work in biochemistry at Bowling Green State University. He currently lives in Pepper Pike, OH with his wife Erin and daughter Charlotte.
About Steve Willoughby
Steve is currently a Senior Analyst and Partner at the research firm, Cleveland Research Company (CRC). Steve’s areas of focus include the Life Science, Ophthalmology, and Managed Care sectors. He previously was a Research Associate at CRC covering the Hospital, Surgery Center, and Dental industries. Prior to being a founding member of CRC, Steve worked as both a Research Associate and Market Research Associate at the equity research firm, FTN Midwest, covering the Hospital, Surgery Center, Dental, Consumer Electronics, and Consumer Discretionary industries. Steve graduated from Miami University (of Ohio) with a degree in Finance. He currently lives in Pepper Pike, OH with his wife Morgan, daughters Vera & Rose, and son John.

LPA Networking and Meeting Rooms
(SR9 & SR 10)
9:00am - 5:00pm
The LPA provides Meeting & Networking Rooms for LPA Members during Pittcon. The networking room allows members a chance to relax, grab a beverage and snack, and recharge, while the meeting room allows members to hold private meetings in a shared meeting space. The LPA Networking Room (SR9) is stocked with beverages and snacks to give you a break from the show floor. We hope you manage to stop in to recharge your devices at our charging station and sit down with a cookie and a coffee.
The LPA Meeting Room (SR10) reservations are made in hourly increments and may also be made on-site on a first-come, first-served basis. While extended meetings are permitted, we cannot accept day- or week-long reservations. Reserved tables accommodate up to 6 people.
Please contact Angie Errera if you have any questions about reserving a table in advance (recommended) and include the date, time, and person/company you are meeting, such as 1-2pm. The table assignments will be posted outside of the LPA Meeting Room each day, as well as on individual tables, and there are also a few 4-person tables open for meetings on-the-fly.
